The Hotere talk will be illustrated with magnificent digital images from Ron Sang Publications and by the kind permission of the Hotere Foundation Trust. This will be a very special occasion so make sure you book your tickets promptly, either online via our website, by calling us during shop hours on 021 0904 6330 or purchasing your tickets at the bookshop. The talk will be in Cinema One at Cinema Paradiso and will commence promptly at 10am on both days. Please come along at 9.30 and enjoy a coffee and a scone prior to the event.
Vincent will be introduced by his friend, the artist Grahame Sydney. Tickets are $20.00 and profits will go to local charity MINT who do such a great job supporting the intellectually disabled children in our community.
We are very grateful to all the people who have worked so hard to make this special event happen: Prue Wallis, The Hotere Foundation Trust, Ron Sang Publications, Vincent O'Sullivan, and Penguin Random House. The bookshop is very proud to be hosting this event. Thank you to Laura Williamson and the Festival of Colour for their support too.
Other news:
The shop has been busy again this month with visitors from all over the country. A number of "out of towners" saw the article in The Listener and made sure we were a stop on their tour of the town and surrounds. Thank you to all the new customers from far away and our loyal friends from town who pop in to see what new books have arrived. Also, our Bannockburn, Cromwell, Alex, Clyde and Arrowtown friends. It is very gratifying to see new and familiar customers heading away with an armful of books.
