News from the Shop
Warmest hello from The Next Chapter. Boy, it has been cold hasn’t it? We are glad to report that our keen readers have braved all sorts of wind, rain and snow to get their books. Thrillers such as Dervla McTiernan, Mick Herron and Conn Iggulden are very popular as is the old favouite I am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes.
Other news
We are supporting our local Arts organisations with early notice of some terrific Arts classes coming to Bannockburn and Wanaka.
The Arts School in Bannockburn is always worth travelling for and so is the Wanaka Autumn Art School - Spring edition. Covid curtailed the Autumn dates but this resourceful art school have rescheduled for the October school holidays.
Talking of school holidays - thank you so much to all the parents, grandparents and keen readers who supported the school libraries initiative. Your school librarians all say a big thank you and look out for new books from The Next Chapter in your school library soon. Mt Aspiring College, Wanaka Primary, Hawea Flat School, Holy Family School, Te Kura O Take Karara and Omarama Primary school all took part. Thanks also to Caroline Harker who worked so hard to get the scheme launched for the holidays. We hope to make this a regular feature of the school holiday programme.
